Kids Hope Australia is a mentoring program developed by World Vision that helps at-risk Australian children and their families.
A partnership between churches and primary schools
Through a partnership between local churches and primary schools, Kids Hope works to improve opportunities for mentored children in the areas of education, self confidence and wellbeing.
What’s involved
Gracepoint runs Kids Hope at La Perouse Public School. For one hour each week, caring adults from Gracepoint mentor at-risk children from La Perouse Public School.
This usually involves helping the child with:
- homework
- playing games, arts and crafts or
- just spending time together
Mentors are matched with one child who they work one on one with for an hour each week of the school year.
